We get a lot of last minute requests from couples looking for complimentary pieces for their ceremony and receptions. So, this lovely #weddingwednesday, we want to do a sum-up of some of the “other” day-of stationery that can be done to match your invitations! And, by no means is this the final list! We are always so excited when couples come in with unique requests!
So, let’s get started!
Programs:
Like cilantro, couples either love or hate the idea of programs. Truth be told, they can be a useful tool for guests on the day. Many religious ceremonies have a order of service, and also require a “call and answer” portion. Having that information in hand can ensure guests know what for and when their involvement is needed.
Programs can also offer a bit more information about who is standing up at the front. Your Aunt Edith, the missionary from Cambodia, may not know that the MOH’s name is Katie, and that the flower girls are the cousins of your fiancé.
Standard sizes:
Most programs that we do will either be a 4″x9″ print on cardstock, or an 8.5″ x 11″ sheet folded in half to create a 4 page booklet.
Table numbers:
Your guests cannot be expected to know which table number is what without a bit of guidence, and that’s exactly what these do! Functional AND they look sharp? Bonus!
Table numbers can be single or double sided, but in either case, we always recommend that the number faces the place where guests will be entering the room or turning from the seating chart. This will make it easy to find their table without needing to walk around.
These can be printed in various sizes, on multiple materials, and with a choice of printing method to help fit your budget.
Standard sizes:
Generally sized at 4″x6″ or 5″x7″ for easy visibility.
Like the look of acrylic, but don’t want to have the expense of custom made? Did you know we rent them out? Click {here} to see what we have in stock!
Signage:
There are so many options that can be placed under this heading. Some of our most popular requests include:
- Welcome signs
- Guest table/photo booth signs
- Bar signs
- Kissing game signs
- Unplugged wedding signs
- Directional signage
With so many options available, it’s hard to pick a “standard” size or material. However, paper, PVC, acrylic, metal, wood and mirror are all fair game, depending on size, print method and budget. Have something special in mind? Contact us and we can chat about the art of the possible!
Wine bottle/water bottle labels:
These are a lovely addition to tables, and are cute reminders to guest to enjoy the party/keep hydrated!
We remind couples that there are two main kinds of printed label stocks available: Water resistant and non-water resistant (usually an uncoated stock, digitally printed). It’s important to know the difference! If your bottles are just going on the table, non-water resistant will work. However, if they will be placed in an ice cooler or there is a chance they will get wet, we say to stay as far away from the non-water resistant as possible. Any liquid or condensation will cause the print to start to buckle, bleed and run. Water resistant does come with a higher cost, but is worth the piece of mind that the print will still look A+, no matter what gets splashed on it!
Favour tags/stickers:
Although these are not so much in demand, we still get calls for them!
Stickers look great to hold little favour boxes closed and can be put on lids of jam jars and other items. Many sizes and print options are available, so please contact us if you have any questions, or a certain look in mind!
Favour tags can be any size that fits the favour, be cut to either standard or custom shapes, and can be matched with a cute ribbon or twine.
So there is our “others” list! Did we miss anything that you think should be on here? If so, please email us or leave a comment below!
