Today for our Friday introduction, we’d love to introduce you to a good friend of ours! Diana is a fun, super positive lady, and we’ll let her introduce herself!
Who are you and what do you do?
My name is Diana and I am a Wedding Planner! I make couples’ wedding visions come to life exactly how they want them to.
What makes you unique in your field?
I am very passionate about what I do. I am also very picky with the weddings I take on, as I try to work only with people I feel a connection with. This allows me to focus on each couple in a unique way. I try to get to know them as much as possible before the wedding day, and this ensures that if anything goes wrong that we haven’t discussed, I can handle it in a way they would approve of.

Why do you love what you do?
I love going through the process with bridal couples and being able to take as much stress away from them, so they can focus on the things that truly matter on the wedding day and know that everything else will be handled as they would handle it themselves.
What is one main thing that you wish couples knew about what you do?
I help manage stress and am a good sounding board. I love talking about weddings so they can always run ideas by me, and I will give them my honest opinion about their situation. I have an unbiased opinion on their wedding as someone removed from the situation and the intimate stress they might be feeling about it and can offer advice they haven’t considered!
What is your favourite restaurant in Edmonton?
Ooh, Mikado or Kyoto ACE sushi. I love sushi!

What is your favourite Edmonton festival?
Heritage Days, definitely. I love experiencing different cultures and watching people in their element, surrounded by the things that make them who they are.
What would you recommend to couples as being the best date night in Edmonton?
Definitely mini golf at the Monsters Golf on Gateway. Or the ice castles! Or just skating. I’m trying to think of my favourite activity to do with my girlfriend, but honestly, they’re all great if she’s around. I guess it really depends on what you like to do!
What countries have you visited, and was the most memorable experience?
Serbia, Croatia, Greece, Italy, Germany, the US, and Iceland. Most memorable was probably Italy. I have a half brother there and he’s just the best. I love spending time with him and his family!
